Have you always wanted to be a journalist but haven’t had the right opportunity so far?

Mediahuis Ireland’s Emerging Talent programme has been specially developed to support emerging talent in journalism. Whether you are a blogger, self-publisher, school or college leaver, want to change career, or get back into journalism, this could be the opportunity you’ve been looking for.

If you receive a place on the programme, you will get training and on-the-job experience under the mentorship of experienced journalists. You will be equipped with the essential skills to bring your passion for storytelling to life through online, print, or visual media. Successful candidates will also receive the chance to pitch original content ideas and follow passion projects alongside newsroom colleagues.

Four two-year contracts are available, allowing candidates to work in either Ireland or Northern Ireland. These roles include a magazine’s feature writer, a video production journalist, and two roles as a news reporter journalist.
