Pitching Sessions for the 2021 Dublin Fringe Festival
Culture Ireland, Irish Theatre Institute and Dublin Fringe Festival invite submissions from Irish artists/companies who wish to avail of the opportunity to participate in a pitching session to national and international programmers and presenters, as part of this year’s Information Toolbox at Dublin Fringe Festival (17 & 18 September 2021).
The purpose of this session is to allow artists to pitch new projects (not previously presented in any format) and projects in development to delegates with the intention of generating international presentation or co-producing opportunities for the artists and their work. As many productions have been stalled due to the current public restrictions, productions that were scheduled to premiere during this period and were unable to do so will also be considered.
Successful applicants will be offered an opportunity to pitch their projects to national and international delegates, using a preferred platform of performance, spoken presentation and high quality moving-image footage relating to the proposed work. For this edition, all pitches will be presented digitally to international audiences and it is envisaged that some of these may be pre-recorded.
Professional artists/companies from theatre and dance disciplines are eligible to apply. Successful artists will be required to work with Culture Ireland and Irish Theatre Institute to prepare their pitch in advance.
Applications should be submitted to: ciaran.walsh [at] cultureireland.gov.ie before 5pm on Friday 13th August 2021.
