Monday, 9 September 2019, 5.00pm

The Guildhall School of Music & Drama is situated in the heart of the City of London and is internationally recognised as one of the leading conservatoires for training of musicians, actors, stage managers and theatre technicians. As such, the school creates a large quantity (c.2000) of recordings per year. Content varies from solo Piano classical audio recordings to the multi-camera recording & streaming of high input count large scale productions.

The Recording & AV Department is now recruiting. We require an Administrator to join our team of 5 audio and video engineers, to manage all administrative processes relating to the day to day operation of the Recording & AV department and provide a high level of support to the Head of Recording & AV.

The post holder will be the first point of contact for the department managing emails and calendar, co-ordinating staffing rotas and ensuring timely information flow to event information to Recording & AV Staff. The post holder operates as first point of contact for day to day enquiries, studio bookings and classroom AV support.

Other duties will include the administration, and content management of Guildhall Stream, the school’s online content delivery site. This will include editing content, student and staff schema organisation and helpdesk work. Full training will be given as appropriate.

The successful candidate will join a multi-skilled team covering all disciplines and we anticipate interviewing candidates from a variety of backgrounds. The ability to work with and inspire young people whilst maintaining a safe working environment is essential.
