Drawing from the Well Áras Éanna, St. John's Theatre & Arts Centre

Thursday, 15 September 2022, 8.00pm

ITMA presents an evening of traditional music, song and dance in the company of four of Ireland's leading contemporary traditional artists: Laoise Kelly (harp), Cormac Begley (concertina), Edwina Guckian (dancer) and Brían MacGloinn (singer) at St. John's Theatre & Arts Centre, Listowel, Co. Kerry, on 15 September.

Each of these four artists has contributed to the ITMA online series Drawing from the Well, a project which invites artists to delve into ITMA's rich archival collections as a source of inspiration for new work. The 'new work' created by the artists from these immersive archival sojourns is freely available to view online at https://www.itma.ie/drawingfromthewell

The performance at St. John's Theatre & Arts Centre, Listowel on 15 September is the fifth venue in a national tour visiting the National Concert Hall Dublin, 11 September (featuring 16 artists); Seamus Heaney Homeplace on Monday 12 September; The Linenhall Arts Centre, Castlebar, Co. Mayo, 13 September; Áras Éanna, Inis Oirr, Co. Galway, 14 September and Birr Theatre and Arts Centre, Birr, Co. Offaly, 16 September.
