We are searching for a 1st Concertmaster with experience in orchestral leadership, chamber music and/or as a soloist. The candidate we are looking for should be committed to orchestral playing at the highest level, have strong leadership qualities and extensive knowledge of the musical requirements needed for this role. The successful candidate should be an inspiring and committed leader and will be required to play an active role in the life of the orchestra.

The Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra plays on average, 42 production weeks a year. We have two first concertmasters, each working 25 weeks a season.

Audition requirements:
– Mozart: Violin Concerto no. 3 in G major, no. 4 in D major or no. 5 in A major, 1. and 2. mvts with cadenza
– Beethoven, Brahms, Tchaikowsky or Sibelius: Violin Concerto, 1. mvt. with cadenza
