Scottish Opera presents The Puccini Collection

Sunday, 12 December 2021, 7.30pm

Treat yourself this Christmas to powerful, passionate opera at its best.

Celebrate the festive season with Scottish Opera at a concert of passion, longing, and love. The Puccini Collection spotlights favourite arias and ensemble numbers, as well as sweeping orchestral interludes from Giacomo Puccini’s timeless operas. With excerpts from the well-known and well-loved La bohème, Tosca, and Turandot as well as rarer gems from La Fanciulla del West, Manon Lescaut, and Edgar, there is plenty for newcomers and aficionados alike. Let melodies such as ‘Vissi d’arte’ and ‘Nessun Dorma’ sweep you from Dundee to Paris, Rome, the American West, and beyond as our changing cast of characters meet, fight, fall in love, and embrace their very operatic fates.

Conductor Stuart Stratford
Singers include Sinéad Campbell-Wallace, Catriona Hewitson, David Junghoon Kim, Fraser Simpson & Roland Wood

Sung in Italian with English supertitles
Running time approx. 2 hours
