Dublin Racing Festival, the two-day premium racing event, returns to Leopardstown Racecourse on 1st and 2nd of February for a third year with a fantastic programme celebrating the best of Dublin music, entertainment, culture, cuisine and of course horse racing.

While Grade 1 horse racing will top the bill over the weekend, Leopardstown Racecourse is set to bring the ‘the best of Dublin’ to the racecourse, celebrating the fair city’s famous top class music, cuisine and culture over the early February weekend.

Taking to the stage on Day One of the festival are Dublin's favourite sons, Aslan. Catapulted to fame in 1986 the band released 6 studio albums including 2012's Nudie Books and Frenchies that went straight into the Irish album charts at number 1. In 2019, after 36 years together and sold out shows worldwide Aslan released a 25th anniversary edition of their 1994 album Goodby Charlie Moonhead on vinyl. Fans can expect hits 'This Is', 'Crazy World' and 'Where's the Sun'.

Dublin singer George Murphy who burst onto the Irish music scene at the age of 17 after appearing on the RTE show "You're a Star" will entertain Day Two crowds. His debut album Dreamed a Dream went to number 1 in the Irish Album Chart. During his career Murphy has supported Madness, played with The High Kings and performed for Robbie Keane's retirement party in 2016. George released his first album in seven years with 2016's Trad Nua showcasing what he calls his most honest songs. Murphy's singing has been praised by Ronny Drew and Peggy Seger.

Comedian Danny O’Brien returns for this years Dublin Racing Festival. As the resident host and owner of The Comedy Crunch in Dublin one of Ireland’s most successful comedy clubs - his friendly, high energy and anecdotal style draws in an audience and brings on the big laughs with ease. He performed his first solo show at the 2012 Edinburgh Fringe Festival and scooped the title of “Dublin’s Funniest Comedian” at the prestigious Stand Up For FM104 that same year. In 2013 Danny beat sixteen of Ireland’s best up-and-coming acts to take the coveted Toilet Duck Award at Tedfest (the now-famous Father Ted celebration). His 2019 solo show ‘Lock-In’ sold out it’s entire run at The Edinburgh Fringe Festival as well as Galway Arts Festival, Wexford Spiegeltent Festival, Clifden Arts Festival before touring over 60 dates all over the globe.

Again Dublin Racing Festival will be a hub of sport over the two days with 8 grade 1 races and prize money of over €2million on offer; up from €1.8million in 2019. Punters will be able to enjoy a festival of sport as Ireland Rugby’s first match of the 2020 6 Nations championship against Scotland will be played across all screens after racing so fans can soak up the big crowd atmosphere in the festival marquee.

Dublin Racing Festival will once again showcase some signature Dublin dishes over the weekend with chef demonstrations and food stalls. The public are invited to sample some of the city's culinary delights at a Dublin Street Food Court.

Advanced general admission tickets are €30 and €35 on the day with limited premium level tickets available at €60. Gates open on both days at 10:50am with the first race away at 12:50pm.
