An opportunity has arisen within the team for an experienced, well-motivated music educator to fill the part-time role of Opera North Education Instrumental Tutor (Flute) working primarily on Opera North’s award-winning education programme, In Harmony.

In Harmony is a community residency impacting over 1100 children in full-time education and the wider community that surrounds their schools. It seeks to deliver an inclusive programme of high quality instrumental and vocal music education, and performance opportunities that allow young people from all backgrounds to engage with the arts and, through doing so, deliver wider benefits such as increased confidence, aspiration, engagement with formal learning and an increase in parental engagement.

Solid classical music training and a demonstrably high level of musical skill and literacy are all required, supported by satisfactory DBS clearance and the ability to work across locations.

Salary: £26,520 per annum (pro rata)
Contract type: Permanent, Part-time, Tuesdays and Wednesday
