Keara Sheeran has been running choirs in Galway city for over 15 years with the IGNITE Gospel choir and more recently the Village community choir Salthill & the Claregalway Community choir.

For the Dawn Chorus 2022 the amalgamation of these choirs will create the flagship choir.
“It’s wonderful to be able to bring people together to connect through music. It’s all true what they say about singing. It’s great for your mental health, it creates social circles and communities. It brings people together and no matter what kind of a day or week you’ve had you’ll always feel better after a rehearsal. There’s a choir for everyone – be it choral, gospel, contemporary there is so much to choose from. I would definitely encourage everyone to give it a go”

The ”IGNITED” Choir will come together to give a wonderful 1 hour concert as the sun rises across Galway Bay at 5:30am on May 1st to rise and shine on the dawn of a new day and a new season.

This event is presented in partnership with Sing Ireland and Galway City Council.
