Trad@Lunch: Niamh and Sean Farrell

Wednesday, 31 May 2023, 1.10pm

Siblings, Niamh and Sean Farrell grew up playing traditional Irish music with the Fred Finn C.C.E. branch in Sligo. They spent many years playing opposing tunes from different rooms in teenage rebellion before surrendering to the joys of music in unison! Trad, along with a shared appreciation for folk and country music shapes much of their musical influence today.

One of Ireland’s most exquisite and versatile voices, Niamh's memorable performances are nothing short of spine-tingling. Her musical influences are vast, allowing her to move effortlessly between Irish traditional, gospel contemporary and folk genres, offering the audience an eclectic mix of material. Niamh has travelled the world with many different bands and artists including, Bobby McFerrin and David Gray. Niamh will be joined by her brother, on vocal and guitar, for this very special lunchtime performance.
