Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance in London is looking to appoint a Lecturer in Popular Music Industry – Marketing.

The BA in Music Performance and Industry is a three-year undergraduate programme in popular music. As the post holder, you will join a team of highly-skilled, forward-thinking professionals committed to fresh approaches to learning and teaching. You will teach different ability levels, ranging from students who specialise as producers to teaching entry-level music technology.

As a successful candidate, you will have substantial music industry experience and expertise in the evolving music business, marketing, brand development, online media campaigns and self-promotion.

In addition, you will have a strong understanding of how artists develop careers in various genres (from EDM, Hip-hop, Singer-songwriter, Grime, Rock, Punk, Folk, Ambient, Techno etc.) with recognised expertise in at least one specialism. Previous teaching experience and curriculum design in Higher Education are desirable though not exclusive, and the Faculty of Music is committed to innovation in learning and teaching. As the music industry evolves, you will have a crucial role in keeping the programme updated with the latest developments. As a member of the Faculty of Music academic team, there will be opportunities to work across the BMus and postgraduate programmes.
