Macbeth

Saturday, 10 September 2022, 8.00pm

Arclight Theatre Company present William Shakespeare's Macbeth.

Directed by Paul Cullen.

Tempted by the prophecies of mysterious creatures, Macbeth’s ambition to be King of Scotland leads him into a nightmarish world of evil, deceit and murder. Monstrous actions run rampant as he and Lady Macbeth lose themselves to unstoppable drives of savagery and political atrocity.

Arclight’s production of Macbeth is vibrant, energetic, visceral and highly visual. The music score for the production is composed and performed by renowned Irish musician, D. Cullen.

Over the past 20 years, Arclight Theatre Company have built a wonderful reputation when it comes to Shakespeare and have been invited on four occasions by the Royal Shakespeare Company to perform in Stratford upon Avon. They have also performed the bard's plays in venues such as Smock Alley, Pavilion, Temple Carrig Ampitheatre, Shakespeare In The Park in Cabinteely, Greystones Theatre, Lexicon Studio, The Ivy House and here in the Whale.

Having delighted critics and audiences with their acclaimed versions of Hamlet, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Romeo & Juliet, Much Ado About Nothing and As You Like It, Arclight are thrilled to revive their award winning 2013 production of Macbeth and bring it to the Greystones audience.

9th - 11th September 2022 @ 8pm (4pm show on Sunday 11th). Tickets (€15/€12) can be booked at www.whaletheatre.ie or call the booking office on 01 2010550.
