The Faculty of Music at the University of Cambridge is seeking to appoint an Assistant Professor specialising in Early Music, defined as the period before circa 1600. This is a permanent role set to commence on 1 September 2024. Candidates should possess a relevant PhD in Music or a related discipline and display potential for outstanding research.

Responsibilities include teaching on core and optional undergraduate courses, providing master’s level instruction, and undertaking PhD supervision and examination. Administrative tasks include participating in examination boards, postgraduate admissions and reviews, EDI and other committees, as well as outreach activities.
