Provision of Services for Project Coordination

Wednesday, 15 December 2021, 12.00pm

Cork City Council seeks quotations for services from suitably experienced organisations and individuals to manage the commissioning of a trail of five public art works in Cork City Centre.

The commissioned art works will be permanent and/or semi-permanent sculptural art works in a variety of contemporary media (3d sculpture, lighting, 2d wall-based, digital.). The trail will be thematically linked by Cork City’s heritage and should provide an impactful city centre attraction.

This public art project has come about through the Fáilte Ireland Urban Animation Scheme. The total budget for the project will be approximately €550,000 (inclusive of VAT and exclusive of Co-ordinator and Commissioner fees).

The successful tenderer will be contracted by Cork City Council on a Contract for Services to deliver the public art scheme from end to end liaising closely with the Tourism and Arts Sections of Cork City Council. The Project Coordinator will manage the research, commissioning, production and installation of five separate art works in line with the project brief and within the parameters of the conditions of the Urban Animation Scheme, as well as National Public Art Guidelines and Cork City Council’s public art policy.
