Applications are invited for the part-time post of Senior Library Assistant at the Pendlebury Library of Music at the University of Cambridge.

In this particularly varied post you will have the opportunity to work with music collections and people in an academic environment, playing a key role in supporting music library services.

The main duties of the post are:
– General library duties and reader services
– Cataloguing and classifying the music collections
– Assisting with acquisitions
– Promoting the music collections and contributing to social media
– Delivering user education sessions and library tours

We are looking for an enthusiastic and well-organised library assistant with experience in music cataloguing and the ability to read music, who is committed to delivering user-friendly and high-quality library services.

We would expect the successful candidate to both work remotely and take part in the rota of working at the library to provide zero-contact services during the current restrictions, and COVID-safe in person services when restrictions lift.

Temporary cover: This post is fixed-term for 12 months or the return of the post holder, whichever is the earlier.
