Classical Concert, Hans Pålsson, Swedish Pianist

Classical Concert, Hans Pålsson, Swedish Pianist

Saturday, 20 July 2019, 8.00pm

The Gerard Manley Hopkins Society is again honoured to welcome back one of the world’s great pianists. Like all such, Pålsson began as a musical prodigy - first, on the violin, then on his true love, the piano. Many concerts and recordings would follow as audiences began to realise that here was not only a virtuoso player but someone more important, and rare: a true artist. Listening to his playing, so intense, so deeply at grips with the music to the exclusion of anything extraneous like showmanship or exhibitionist technique, shows us we are in the hands of a master.
Hans Pålsson will be playing a selection of piano sonatas by Mozart, Schubert and Beethoven.
Admission: €25 /€15 (tickets at door)
