Salary range: £29,250 - £32,910 (including Inner London Weighting), depending on experience
35 hours per week

Music Education Islington (MEI) is the Music Education Hub for the London Borough of Islington. MEI is led by Islington Council and Guildhall School of Music & Drama, in partnership with Music in Secondary Schools Trust and leading arts organisations and funders, as well as the Islington Community of Schools.

In this busy role you will be responsible for providing administrative support to the MEI team, with specific responsibilities for coordinating the administration of MEI activities during the day and after school, liaise with schools, instrumental tutors, and partner organisation and assists with planning and delivering of concerts and events. The post holder is also required to prepare monitoring information and data for reporting to funders.

The ability to be self-motivated, maintain high standards and remain calm under pressure is essential. You will have an excellent communication, numeracy and time management skills; advanced MS Office and IT competency. Ideal candidate should have strong organisational and administrative skills. Knowledge of classical/contemporary/popular music, drama or production arts ideally gained within the higher education sector, would be an advantage.
