Come and join LONRA for a festive afternoon of your favorite Christmas songs at the Gallery at Green Acres Wexford on Sunday 4th December, 1:30 pm.

LONRA will whisk you away to a winter wonderland where chestnuts are roasting and sleigh bells jingle!

Sopranos Ruth Gallagher and Patricia Goggins perform as a duo under the name LONRA. They are unique as they arrange music in harmony themselves for two soprano voices. LONRA’s repertoire includes light classical music, well known duets, Irish Airs and folk songs, a variety of sacred and secular Christmas music, as well as a wide selection of sacred and secular Wedding music.

Ruth Gallagher, is a Donegal born soprano, musician and music educator. She performed as soloist in Wexford Chamber Choir's Night of Baroque Opera, Waterford Christchurch Cathedral Choir's performance of Haydn's Seven Last Words of Christ, in Vivaldi's Gloria and Magnificat with St. Canice's Choir Kilkenny, and in Fauré’s Requiem with the WIT Chamber Choir and Orchestra. Ruth was lead soloist in workshops of Eric Sweeney's opera The Invader (2013), Aeolus in Weldon's The Tempest in Czech Republic (2018), and Damon in Handel's Acis & Galatea in Prague (2019). Based in Wexford, Ruth is owner of Creative Sound, a business providing corporate team building workshops through music, and teaches at County Wexford School of Music.

Patricia Goggins is a classically trained soprano and vocal teacher. As a Music Educator with Music Generation Wexford, Patricia sees the value of music for child development and well-being. Originally from Limerick, Patricia was a soloist with the Bunratty Castle Singers. She has an AIMS award for her role in Verdi's Macbeth and was winner of the Arklow Challenge Cup at the Arklow Music Festival. Patricia sang in many lead female roles and sang with Vocare under the late Sue Furlong and was soloist at their performance in Carnegie Hall, New York. As a SingStrong practitioner Patricia works with patients with lung issues and COPD through COPD Ireland. She has worked in many health and educational settings using music for health and well being.
