The 2020 Countywide series begins with a visit to the beautiful Kylemore Abbey to hear the ConTempo String Quartet perform a programme of music featuring Beethoven for the composer’s 250th year celebrations as well as some of their own ConTempo favourites. They will accompany the Kylemore Children’s Choir under the baton of Sister Karol singing the sublime Offertorium from the Schubert Mass, Tota Pulchra est Maria.

The ConTempo Countywide season is supported by Galway County Council, where the Galway Music Residency is dedicated to working with local music schools and festivals to present high quality, collaborative events that positively impact communities and spark joy in their lives. With a varied programme suitable for all the family, what better way to spend a Sunday afternoon than in Kylemore Abbey!
