Research Ireland is seeking a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead the new agency, which merges Science Foundation Ireland and the Irish Research Council.

Based in Dublin, the CEO will oversee the strategic direction, funding allocation, and execution of research programmes aligned with national and international priorities. The role involves fostering collaboration within the research and innovation ecosystem, with an emphasis on multi-disciplinary research.

Applicants should have extensive leadership experience in research, higher education, or the public or private sector, alongside a deep understanding of the research and innovation landscape. Strong skills in strategic planning, financial management, and stakeholder engagement are required.
