Night of Baroque Opera

The concert of Early Music (both vocal and instrumental) will include arias, duets and choruses from Baroque operas. It will be presented by Czech and Irish Instrumentalists and classically trained solo singers of a very high standard, both student and professional, who will come together in celebration of European Day of Early Music.
European Day of Early Music is an annual international music festival of high international status, and music events from countries throughout Europe participate.
Musical Director and Conductor is Mr. James Gray from Florence in Italy. He has spent the last 35 years in Italy the birthplace of Early Music and Opera. Marketa Malcova is the Artistic Director and Mezzo-Soprano.
The Irish students’ orchestra will be led by Czech First Violinist from the Pilsen Philharmonic Orchestra, Vladimira Machonova, who is a highly experienced violinist in interpretation of Early Music and also in pedagogue work. Local soloists include Ruth Gallagher (soprano), Hayley Crosbie (mezzo-soprano), Lauren Moran (mezzo-soprano) and Myles Doyle (tenor).

It promises to be a night of soul touching, beautiful music and is well worth attending!
