Breith (Birth) is a production to mark the centenary of the War of Independence in Co. Clare. The work is the vision and creation of Dr. Tim Collins, composer/musician and member of the world renowned Kilfenora Ceilí Band. The production brings together diverse and illustrious artistic talent including Mike Hanrahan, Sean Lyons, Edel Vaughan, Blackie O'Connell, Eimear Howley, Tara Breen, Eimear Coughlan, James Greenan (who was the lead dancer with Riverdance for 12 years), Cormac McCarthy (who also arranged the music for the production), The Irish Chamber Orchestra and the Kilfenora Ceilí Band. The production will give an account of this period of time in Clare through specially composed music dance and drama supported by archival footage.
