Outreach Development Officer

Friday, 12 February 2021, 9.00pm

The Irish Memory Orchestra is seeking a confident Outreach Development Officer to join their organisation on a part time, freelance basis.

This is an exciting opportunity for a creative and enthusiastic candidate to develop the orchestra's Outreach and Education programme – the successful candidate will be responsible for devising new outreach and education activities in collaboration with IMO’s artistic leaders. Fundraising will be a key part of this role including researching and writing grant applications, and seeking corporate support.

An important purpose of this role in 2021 is to manage the IMO Youth Orchestra & Choir programme, alongside the Apprentice Liaison Officer. Auditions and mentoring will run online through the year. The final month of the project will be dedicated to the Vision Symphony performance in Galway, with four days of rehearsal beforehand. The Outreach Development Officer will be required on site in Galway for these five days. The dates of this live aspect are subject to change with respect to potential Covid-19 restrictions.

This role requires a flexible, dynamic professional with excellent organisation and event management skills and a successful track record in fundraising, who is capable of working on their own initiative to develop and drive projects from beginning to end.
