The Senior Artistic Planning Manager reports to the Head of Artistic Planning (HAP) of the Hallé Concerts Society and acts as Deputy in the planning of the bold and creative artistic vision for the orchestra. The post holder is one of the key points of contact for artistic administrative matters with the Assistant Conductor, Education Director, Choral Director and other associated artists. The post holder will be an active member of the Operational Management Team, and will deputise for the HAP on the Senior Management Team as necessary.

The Senior Artistic Planning Manager will need to be a meticulous and detailed administrator with the ability to shift quickly between projects and seasons. The role will provide the ideal opportunity for someone wanting to expand their programming experience in a friendly and supportive environment.

The post is a full time, 12-month fixed term maternity cover position based on a 36.25-hour week.
