The distinguished Cork-based chamber choir, MusiCórum (conductor Geoffrey Spratt), will buttress a performance of Monteverdi's "Mass [in F] for four voices", SV 257, with first performances of Milo McCarthy's magnificent new motet, "Animam meam levavi", for solo soprano, cello, organ and mixed-voice choir. The performance of the Mass will embrace two of Monteverdi's solo motets ("Salve, o regina" and "Exulta filia") for soprano and continuo, with the internationally-renowned soprano, Mary Hegarty, being joined by cellist Hugh McCarthy and organist Thomas Doyle.
