Lecturer in Music Technology and Popular Music

The School of Performing Arts at the University of Wolverhampton is seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Popular Music and Music Technology with the skills to contribute to both subject areas. You will be a proficient musician with the ability to teach across performance, music production and live sound modules. You will also be required to contribute to research and musicology modules.

Teaching across the School’s provision in Popular Music and Music Technology, you will be qualified to at least Masters level in a relevant subject.

You will be an excellent teacher and you will have a track record of teaching in Higher Education. You will possess a PGCE or higher education teaching qualification. You will also have Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy or be willing to work towards.

You will make a significant contribution to teaching in the subject areas, working collaboratively with subject colleagues, and have a clear focus on meeting the needs of our students. Demonstrable, active engagement with industry networks would be desirable.
