Part-Time Faculty: Applied Music-Double Bass Lessons, Jazz/Commercial

The Setnor School of Music within the College of Visual and Performing Arts a seeks Part-time Instructor to teach Applied Music-Double Bass Lessons (Jazz-Commercial) during the fall 2020 and spring 2021 semesters. Number of lessons will vary.

Private instruction in jazz performance techniques, including jazz styles, jazz music reading, jazz improvisational techniques, and combo and large ensemble performance skills.

Qualifications
Relevant academic credentials and experience including:
– A minimum of a master’s degree in music (jazz or commercial bass performance) or equivalent experience preferred.
– Experience teaching studio electric bass/double bass at the collegiate level.
– Jazz/Commercial Music Performance credentials.

Job Specific Qualifications
The candidate should have strong attention to detail, knowledge of course content, demonstrated pedagogical ability, as well as the ability to relate well in a classroom and one-on-one environment with college-level students.
