The Folk Homecoming Exhibition at Siamsa Tíre, The National Folk Theatre of Ireland, tells the story of the beginnings of the National Folk Theatre of Ireland in 1968 and brings you right up to present day. It showcases how the theatre have explored and developed local traditions of Irish music, song, dance, and storytelling while also celebrating the diversity and richness of those traditions.
The exhibition is free (self-guided) to visit during opening hours (Gallery open 10am — 4pm Monday & Wednesday to Saturday), or you can choose from a range of tour and performance options including guided tours with a Folk Theatre cast member to get their personal perspective on what makes Siamsa Tíre such a special and important home for Irish Folk Culture and traditional Irish arts.
This stunning theatre & art gallery can be found right in the heart of Tralee, there is plentiful carparking in the adjacent Brandon Carpark and it is located next to Kerry County Museum, Tralee Town Park & Rose Garden and an abundance of cafes, restaurants and shops.
