DUBLIN SOUND LAB Call for Works, 2022

DUBLIN SOUND LAB Call for Works, 2022

Friday, 16 December 2022, 11.55pm

DUBLIN SOUND LAB invites composers, sound artists, musicians, music technologists, and performers living on the island of Ireland to propose multimedia, electronic and digital works for possible future performance and inclusion in our repertoire.

Submissions may be for any combination of flute, clarinet/bass clarinet, violin, viola, cello, piano/MIDI keyboard, harpsichord/organ, guitar/electric guitar, percussion, electronics, or video.

Submissions may include existing works or proposals for new works, and you can make more than one submission. There is no limit to the scale or ambition of the work or proposal other than the specified forces, but all submissions must include an electronic, multimedia or digital element.

We would especially like to receive proposals that engage critically with technology, media, or collaborative performance.

The submission deadline is 11:59pm (GMT), Friday 16 December 2022. All submissions will be acknowledged and selected proposals will be confirmed by Friday 27 January 2023.

This is not a commission offer or competition, however fees may be negotiated for development of new works, and selected applicants may benefit from production expertise, audience reach and access to professional performances.
