Summer Harp Opportunities | Scoil Samhraidh Willie Clancy Scholarship 2023

Cruit Éireann | Harp Ireland, in partnership with Scoil Samhraidh Willie Clancy, is pleased to announce two scholarships for harpers living on the island of Ireland to attend the Willie Clancy Summer School between 1st and 9th of July 2023 to support the rapidly growing interest in Irish harping there.

During this week, harpers will be exposed to the finest harp teachers, traditional musicians, recitals and concerts, making for an immersive learning experience “Cruit Éireann | Harp Ireland’s ongoing partnership with Scoil Samhraidh Willie Clancy offers an opportunity for harpers to learn from master musicians and to develop their own creative practice as we strive to safeguard and nurture the harping tradition, whilst ensuring that access to harp tuition is available to all”, said Lauren Ní Néill, CÉHI’s CEO. “Scholarship recipients will immerse themselves within the living tradition at Scoil Samhraidh Willie Clancy, as together we support and strengthen a vibrant, new generation of harpers,” she added.
