The Galway International Arts Festival, with Róisín Dubh, is set to host the American band Pavement at the Heineken Big Top on 24th July 2023. Tickets for the event will be available for purchase from 10am on Friday, 31st March, priced at €49.50.

Pavement, consisting of members Stephen Malkmus, Scott "Spiral Stairs" Kannberg, Mark Ibold, Bob Nastanovich, and Steve West, emerged from the American underground music scene and gained a substantial following over the past three decades.

The band's discography includes albums Slanted And Enchanted (1992), Crooked Rain, Crooked Rain (1994), Wowee Zowee (1995), Brighten The Corners (1997), and Terror Twilight (1999). After disbanding in 1999, Pavement reunited in 2022 and went on to headline Primavera Sound, in addition to performing sold-out shows in Los Angeles, New York, and London.
