The acclaimed French cellist, Marc Coppey, is a passionate musician who has extensively explored the chamber music repertoire with some of the world’s finest musicians.  On this occasion, he joins forces with Irish pianist, Finghin Collins, who equally enjoys a flourishing international career as a soloist and chamber music partner.  Festival audiences can look forward to music by Brahms, Martinů, Beethoven, and French composers Claude Debussy and Nadia Boulanger performed by this dynamic duo. This special collaboration between one of Ireland’s finest musicians and this engaging French cellist at perennial favourite, Killruddery House, is bound to be a 2019 Festival highlight.

Martinů:  Variations on a Slovakian Theme

The Great Music in Irish House Festival takes place from 11 to 16 June in various venues around Dublin and Wicklow.

This year, Ireland’s oldest chamber music festival features Richard Goode, the Pavel Haas Quartet, Marc Coppey and Finghin Collins, Ailish Tynan, the Van Kuijk Quartet, Chamber Choir Ireland conducted by Paul Hillier, the Colin Currie Quartet, and a special John O’Conor Celebration featuring the pianist and former and current students.  

Venues include the Royal Irish Academy, Kilruddery House, National Botanic Gardens, Belvedere House, St Ann’s, Farmleigh House and Dublin Castle.
