Pavel Haas Quartet @ Great Music in Irish Houses 2019
Since making its Irish début at the 2007 Festival, the Czech Pavel Haas Quartet has gone on to cement its place in the first league of string quartets. Described by Gramophone Magazine as “probably the world’s most exciting string quartet”, this multi-award-winning ensemble returns in 2019 to enchant Festival audiences with a tantalising programme of chamber music greats by Beethoven and compatriot, Dvořák.
Dvorák: String Quartet No 14 in A-flat major, op 105
Beethoven: String Quartet in C major, op 59 no 3
The Great Music in Irish House Festival takes place from 11 to 16 June in various venues around Dublin and Wicklow.
