Public Art Project
The Séamus Ennis Arts Centre seeks submissions for a public art project to paint two exchange boxes in front of the Séamus Ennis Arts Centre, Naul, Co. Dublin.
The chosen artwork should transform these plain boxes into beautiful works of art.
Applicants should draw upon their own creativity, but must pay attention to the surroundings, the village of Naul and The Séamus Ennis Arts Centre, when designing their work and the design must relate to any of the following guidelines
• Suitability to the TSEAC venue
• Relating to the activities of TSEAC
• Relating to Traditional Music
• Relating to Séamus Ennis
• Relating to the history or environment of Naul
We recommend artists visit Naul to inspect the area before commencing on design.
Selected artwork imagery will be owned by the Artist but the Artist must consent to allow The Séamus Ennis Arts Centre to use the artwork to promote this project in all media in perpetuity.
Please note the 3-dimensional aspect of the boxes when submitting artwork.
Artwork will be selected based on the following:
• The relevance of the image to the chosen area
• Creativity of design
• Ability to work within the guidelines of the project
• Originality
Artwork will be deemed ineligible if it
• Is in breach of copyright
• Is used for advertisement of products/ business names/ brands or logos
• Uses images relating to alcohol, drugs or smoking
Who can apply?
• No age limit on submissions
• Open to amateur and professional artists.
