National Open Research Coordinator

The Royal Irish Academy is seeking applications for the position of National Open Research Coordinator. This role, based at the Digital Repository of Ireland (DRI), is a twelve-month fixed-term contract reporting to the Director of DRI.

The Coordinator will be instrumental in advancing Ireland’s Open Research agenda, specifically in implementing the National Action Plan for Open Research 2022–2030. Responsibilities include overseeing the plan’s execution, preparing for its 2025 review, managing the NORF Open Research Fund, and liaising with various stakeholders.

Applicants must have a degree-level qualification in a relevant discipline, at least three years of professional experience, and demonstrable knowledge of Open Research, preferably within a higher education/research environment. Leadership skills, problem-solving ability, and excellent communication skills are essential.

The position offers a salary on the Assistant Principal Officer Scale (€76,551–€91,762), subject to government pay policy, and includes benefits like annual leave, blended working options, and a pension scheme.
