An evening of sound poetry and ambient soundscape, all are welcome!

On tour from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Christian Mirande and Slow Tongued Beauty perform their mid-Atlantic informed work in Ireland for the first time. Christian Mirande is touring in support of his forthcoming LP “Beautiful One Day, Perfect The Next” on Regional Bears.

Christian Mirande (b. 1986) is an experimental musician from Philadelphia. He has utilized magnetic tape, various audio synthesis and resynthesis methods, and instruments from the fretless bass to the iPhone Philadelphia-based voice memo. His work is often characterized as textural or atmospheric. He has been a member of the groups Open Corner and The Flea Circus. He has releases on Hanson, Vitrine and Regional Bears.

Slow Tongued Beauty is the experimental electronic music project of artist Ryan Scott Kerr. Blending features of American underground noise and avant-garde soundscapes, STB has been described by Jon Borges of Pedestrian Deposit as: “aggressive electronic synthesis transitioning from calmer passages of modular minimalism, to arrhythmic industrial jackhammer brutality, noise cut-ups and harrowing, dramatic sound design, each with razor-sharp precision.”  STB has releases featured on Monorail Tresspass, No Rent Records, and Flag Day Recordings.
