Programmer, Contemporary Music
London, UK - Southbank Centre in London is currently accepting applications for the position of Contemporary Music Programmer. This is a permanent, full-time role within the Arts Programming team. The closing date for applications is set for 4 June 2023.
The Contemporary Music Programmer will work closely with the Head of Contemporary Music to curate and deliver exceptional contemporary music performances across various venues, including the Royal Festival Hall, Queen Elizabeth Hall, Purcell Room, and other performance spaces. One of the primary responsibilities will be to oversee the day-to-day programming and execution of gigs, ensuring effective communication of the vision for each event internally to facilitate efficient delivery.
The role also involves developing and nurturing relationships and partnerships with internal stakeholders, external promoters, agents, artists, and collectives. This collaborative approach aims to foster new projects and identify fresh opportunities for Southbank Centre. The Contemporary Music Programmer will be responsible for budgeting and programming commercially viable live music projects of outstanding quality, focusing on innovation, inclusivity, diversity, and artistic excellence.
