Open Call: Artist Residency

Open Call: Artist Residency

Sunday, 4 October 2020, 5.00pm

Áras Éanna, Europe’s most westerly Arts Centre is situated on Inis Oírr, the smallest of the Aran Islands in spectacular Galway Bay. Situated in a former weaving factory, Áras Éanna has a 75 seater theatre, an exhibition Gallery, several studio/work rooms and it’s Artist Residence.

For the past twenty years Áras Éanna has welcomed local, national and international artists to participate in their Artist in Residence programme.

The RHA School in partnership with Áras Éanna are delighted to announce a residency on Inis Oírr for the month of November. The rugged island with its patchwork of dry stone walls and the magnificent Atlantic along with a culturally rich community provides a place of inspiration for artists.

The residency will provide a self-contained apartment with an adjoining studio located at the Arts Centre (that has a stunning view of Inis Meáin and the vast Atlantic ocean) along with a €500 stipend to the successful candidate.

Date of Residency: 1st – 28th November 2020
Application Deadline: 4th October 2020
