Tomi Ungerer Residency for Socially-Engaged Artists @ Centre Culturel Irlandais
The Centre Culturel Irlandais (CCI) is currently accepting applications for its annual Artist Residency Programme, which aims to promote Ireland's contemporary culture internationally.
Eligibility is open to Irish citizens or individuals normally residing on the island of Ireland who have a professional background in creative practice. 16 January 2024 is the deadline for applications.
This residency is particularly focused on artists whose work involves social interaction, participation, collaboration, and/or activism as integral elements. It provides a chance to explore the work of the world-renowned artist Tomi Ungerer, with access to his archives in France. Additionally, artists will spend time at CCI Paris to advance their artistic practice.
The programme is supported by The Centre Culturel Irlandais, Tomi Ungerer Estate, Embassy of Ireland in France (Paris), Permanent Representation of Ireland to the Council of Europe, Musée Tomi Ungerer, and Mairie de Strasbourg (Strasbourg).
