Friday, 23 February 2024, 12.00pm

Offaly County Council invites applications for its Creative Ireland Community Project 2024. This funding opportunity is aimed at communities and artists collaborating to explore and showcase Offaly’s rich heritage through various art forms. Funding is available in the form of incubator grants ranging from €250 to €1,500, project delivery grants from €2,500 to €5,000, and, in exceptional cases, up to €8,000.

The initiative seeks to support projects that may extend over several years, fostering the development of concepts and relationships between artists and communities. Eligible heritage aspects include monuments, archaeological and heritage objects, architectural heritage, flora and fauna, wildlife habitats, landscapes, geology, heritage gardens and parks, inland waterways, folklore, and local history. Art forms encompassing visual arts, theatre, literature, music, dance, opera, film, circus, and architecture are all encouraged.

Applications must be submitted by noon, Friday 23rd February 2024. Successful applicants will be notified by March, with a formal offer issued upon completion of required documentation for Creative Ireland. Projects must be concluded with all necessary information, including reports, invoices, audience numbers, details of artists engaged, and three images with consent for those featured, submitted by the end of October 2024.
