The PRS Foundation is offering support for cross-border collaborations in the UK music industry through its programme Beyond Borders. The initiative aims to foster partnerships between music creators, performers, and presenters, while promoting the creation, touring, and promotion of innovative and high-quality new music across various genres. This endeavor encourages engagement with audiences in England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland, utilising multiple performances and digital activities.

Beyond Borders provides funding opportunities of up to £15,000 for eligible projects. These projects encompass a range of activities, including new commissions, recordings, and repeat performances of music composed within the past five years.

The fund supports around 8-10 projects that meet specific criteria. These projects are selected based on their demonstration of innovation and quality in terms of music, programming, and performances, with the potential for gaining recognition on both national and international levels. Moreover, the foundation seeks strong and substantial collaborations among cross-border organisations, ensembles, or bands, emphasising the establishment of enduring partnership legacies. Additionally, projects are evaluated based on their anticipated audience reach and impact, as well as the presence of well-developed plans for public engagement.

Interested parties are advised to submit their applications by the deadline of 25 September 2023.
