New Conference on Jazz in Scotland

First Jazz Horizons event focussed on Scottish jazz takes place on 4–5 November in Edinburgh.

Jazz Horizons is a new conference and networking event taking place in Traverse Theatre, Edinburgh, on 4–5 November.

Organised by Jazz from Scotland, the resource organisation which promotes Scottish jazz, the two-day event will include workshops, talks, showcases, networking and concerts, and provides an opportunity to get an overview of the Scottish scene.

Sunday 4 November consists of an afternoon of events and networking and starts with a light lunch from 1pm. A concert at 7:30pm features Joe Williamson (Young Scottish Jazz Musician of the Year 2018) with his new band Animal Society and the Laura Macdonald Trio, with Mario Caribe (bass) and Stuart Brown (drums).

Monday 5 November consists of a full day of talks, debates, workshops, showcases and networking starting at 10am and running till 5pm.
