Role involves six board meetings per year, special-purpose meetings and the chairing of panels for funding decisions.

The Arts Council is seeking applications for three positions on its board. The board currently has ten members and is chaired by Kevin Rafter who was appointed in April of this year.

Board members will also chair, annually, at least three ‘peer panels’, which decide on funding allocations across all artforms. The remuneration is €5,985 per year.

Currently, the members of the Arts Council are Kevin Rafter (chair), Fearghus Ó Conchuir, Paddy Glackin, Loughlin Deegan, Martina Moloney, Helen Shaw, Pádraig Ó Duinnín, Dónall Curtin, Sinéad Moriarty and Mark O’Kelly.
