Ergodos Announces Secret Music Trails for New Music Dublin
The Irish record label Ergodos has announced special musical walking trails through Dublin for the New Music Dublin festival which takes place on 1–4 March.
The walks – curated by composers and Ergodos directors Benedict Schlepper-Connolly and Garrett Sholdice – bring listeners through the city’s back streets and laneways to discover music from a range of musicians and composers.
Highlights include new music by Fiona Kelleher, Irene Buckley and Linda Buckley based on the work of Hildegard von Bingen; an immersive soundscape of woodwind and electronics by Seán Mac Erlaine; new songs by composer Judith Ring performed by vocal trio Silver Kites; Jonathan Nangle’s ‘kinetic sound sculpture’ where music meets technology; and a musical exploration of water by Olesya Zdorovetska, Keith Lindsay and Nick Roth.
The trails begin at 11am, 11:30am and 12:00pm on Sunday 2 March. The meeting point is the reception at the National Concert Hall. All walks are approx. 150 mins and coffee and a snack are included.
