Starting next Wednesday 5 February, the Journal of Music will issue a weekly podcast interview that will be available on Apple Podcasts, Spotify and Soundcloud.

The Journal of Music Podcast will be presented by editor Toner Quinn and feature an interview with a single guest each week. Upcoming guests include Philip King, creator of the Other Voices television series; Gareth Murphy, author of Cowboys and Indies – The Epic History of the Record Industry; Laoise Kelly, recipient of the 2020 TG4 Gradam Ceoil award; and singer Muireann Nic Amhlaoibh who will shortly release her new album Thar Toinn/Seaborne.

‘We’ve been writing about the bigger picture in music for twenty years,’ says Quinn, ‘and now we’re going to be talking about it too. I’m looking forward to having in-depth conversations with a range of artists and bringing listeners a fresh perspective on musical life today.’

The Journal of Music will also be recording its upcoming panel discussion at New Music Dublin, marking twenty years of the magazine, for the podcast.
