Platform Ireland, the Irish arts and culture channel, will host a livestream of Wide Open Opera’s Tristan and Isolde from the Bord Gáis Energy Theatre this Sunday at 17.00 GMT. Conducted by Fergus Sheil, the performance features the RTÉ National Symphony Orchestra and Irish singers Miriam Murphy and Imelda Drumm alongside international artists Lars Cleveman, Brett Polegato and Manfred Hemm. Owen Gilhooly, Eugene Ginty, Eamonn Mulhall and Gavan Ring also perform. Previous events streamed by Platform Ireland include a performance of Beethoven’s Symphony No. 7 by the Irish Chamber Orchestra and Opera Ireland performing Tosca.
