Music Network Announces Call for Artist Residency Programme 2018

The selected artist will curate a 6-part concert and outreach programme with Mermaid Arts Centre.

Music Network has announced the details of the Music Network Artist Residency 2018.

Professional musicians working in the areas of classical, traditional, jazz or improvised music, with a strong record in performance and a commitment to audience generation, can apply. The selected artist will receive funding to curate and present a 6-date concert series in collaboration with Mermaid Arts Centre, Wicklow County Council Arts Office and Music Network. The series will also have a strong audience development component, working with local authority and community groups.

The Residency was established in 2015 in partnership with Triskel Christchurch and Cork City Council, with pianist Phil Ware. Last year’s artist in residence was guitarist Redmond O’Toole, who curated a concert series and Learning and Development programme at the National Opera House Wexford.

The deadline for applications is Friday 20 April at 2pm. For full details, visit www.musicnetwork.ie.
