Scordatura Ensemble performaselection of American composer James Tenney’s works, exploring aural perception, acoustic phenomena andharmony. In addition to the title track, the album features an arrangement for strings of electroacoustic composition For Ann (rising), the meditative Two Koans and a Canon, and later tape-delay work Voice(s).

The Hands Free: The Hands Free

TheHandsFreearea New York-based quartet of composer/performers, with James Moore (guitar/banjo), Caroline Shaw (violin), Nathan Koci (accordion) and Eleonore Oppenheim (bass), who perform semi-improvised sets unamplified. This album is a live recording from a converted church in New York.
