This Wednesday and Thursday, 11 and 12 April, Cork Loves Music is hosting a series of talks and performances at University College Cork. 

Cork Loves Music is a cooperative of music and media professionals, formed after the TEDx CorkSalon Cork Loves Music event in September 2016. Presented with First Music Contact and UCC Music Society, the event this week is designed to open up discussion and provide a place to share ideas on music in Cork.

On Wednesday, speakers include Choice Prize nominee Bantum, Angela Dorgan of First Music Contact and Hard Working Class Heroes, Cork hip-hop artist Stevie G, producer and DJ Kelly Doherty, plus a discussion panel and live performances from singer-songwriters Cara Kursh, Ronan Mansfield and more.

Thursday sees the first in a new series of showcase gigs at UCC’s New Bar. Kelly Doherty, aka Gadget and the Cloud, will launch her debut album Songs for Sad People to Dance To, with support from Papa Floral and Momputer.
