Concorde Call For Student Scores

Concorde Ensemble have issued a call for scores from composers currently registered as students in Ireland for performance in July.

Concorde, the contemporary music ensemble led by Jane O’Leary, have issued a call for scores from student composers for pieces of between four and seven minutes in length.

The call is for solos for clarinet or bass clarinet, violin, cello, or accordion, and duos for clarinet or bass clarinet and violin, violin and cello, violin and accordion, and clarinet or bass clarinet and cello. Pieces may include an electronic part, a recording of which should be submitted with the score. There is no age limit for entrants, but composers must be registered as students in some capacity.

Concorde are celebrating their thirty-fifth anniversary this year with a concert series at the Hugh Lane Gallery in Dublin. Selected scores will be performed as part of the series on 1 and/or 22 July. Deadline for entry in 10 May.
